Memorial Day Trip Recap

Sunday, June 5, 2011

I'm a bit late in posting this trip update but after returning from our trip to New Orleans I was super lazy. We decided to take advantage of the long weekend and planned a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana with a couple of our very best college pals. New Orleans is an amazing place and we had the best time ever. Honestly, one of my favorite trips of all time. It was awesome. Wonderful energy, super tasty food, history, and lots of fun. Here's some pictures from our adventures:

Our first run-in with Bourbon Street.

Waiting in line for a po' boy at Mother's.

A delicious fried shrimp po' boy.

Riding the street car.

Danielle & Loren trying some alligator gumbo.

Some lovely dudes just waiting to give some beads away on Bourbon Street.

The fountain at our hotel. I love fountains.

Oak Alley Plantation. Sooooo pretty.

Loren and me in front of the plantation.

We were super jazzed to go on a swamp tour via airboat!

Airboat!

Alligator encounter

Another lovely fountain...this one had fire.

An old home with Hurricane Katrina damage.

Cemetery Tour

A super tasty muffaletta sandwich.

Jackson Square

Bourbon Street at night.

Sorry, that's a ton of photos but it was tricky trying to slim them down. If you haven't been to New Orleans, I'd highly recommend it.
