After a lengthy blog hiatus, the most important update to share is that we've moved! Quite a big move actually - from the Seattle area to Chicago. It was definitely the biggest thing to happen last year so I'll get right to the explanation.
Loren and I loved our life in Washington. It was as close to perfect as I could've imagined. Naturally there are ups and downs but in general it was pretty great. The one thing that we always struggled with was the distance from most of our family. So when a new job opportunity for Loren came around we decided to take it.
We tried to spend as much time as possible with our friends in Washington, quickly sold the house, and drove across the country. It was a crazy emotional time filled with so much love and fun. And, much to my surprise the road trip was pretty fun too.

Frankly, it was the hardest decision we've ever made and only time will tell if it was the right choice. I'm looking forward to finding a house for us and working to make it a home and I'll share those details as they come. :) Thanks for stopping by!
