Family Time

Monday, March 21, 2016

The second half of the time my sister was here was visiting my cousins came to town. It was so fun for all of us to hang out together. Laura & I picked them up from the airport and we hung for the day.
That day we went to visit the bean and take a million selfies.

Later that night, those of us that were old enough went to the Signature Room Lounge on the 96th floor of the Hancock building. The views of the city from up there are amazing. Especially from the ladies room! Who would think that the best views are in the women's bathroom?!

The next day we spent some time going to Lincoln Park Zoo. Something that's really amazing about this zoo is that it's free! There was a baby monkey and it was so cute!

We left right as it was starting to down pour. And sadly, later in the afternoon Laura had to leave.
The next couple days were spent shopping, exploring, eating, and just hanging out together acting silly. I didn't take a ton of pictures but I can share this yummy crepe. :)

Before the rest of the family had to head home we celebrated St Patrick's Day Chicago style.
We went and took lots of pictures with the green river. Chicago really gets into the spirit of things and we couldn't believe all the people that were out ready to celebrate! It was fun but a little overwhelming at times. The green river was pretty cool to see. I couldn't believe they got it so bright!

We had such a fun week spent exploring our new city with family. It was a great reminder of why we moved all this way; to be able to experience the fun little things with people we love. Hope you enjoyed the recap!

Love, K
